His Life as the Quran Tells It

The Quran narrates the events of his life as an eyewitness would: Badr in al-Anfal, Uhud in Aal-Imran, the Trench in al-Ahzab, the slander in an-Nur, Hudaybiyah in al-Fath. This is a timeline of his life ⁧ﷺ⁩, each event carrying its own verses and their tafsir.

How this page was made

No commentary of our own. The ordering and dating are our work; the narration is the Quran’s verses; the explanation is the text of Tafsir al-Muyassar or Tafsir al-Jalalayn, quoted word for word and attributed to its author. No passage enters until two conditions hold: that its range is valid within its surah, and that the wording of the event itself occurs in the Uthmani text — so no event is attributed to a verse that does not mention it. Whatever fails either condition is dropped. What the Quran does not narrate stays on the timeline with its date, is said plainly to be unnarrated there, and is referred to the Sunnah. Silence about what we do not hold is better than filling it.
