The 4 places where the Qur’an itself uses the construction ‹⁧آياتٌ لـ⁩› to name something a sign — each with al-Tafsir al-Muyassar on it.

By what measure were these gathered?

Nothing enters here unless the verse carries an explicit Qur’anic formula of argument — “And among His signs”, “In that is surely a sign”, “signs for a people who reason”. The judgement that this is a sign is the text’s, not ours, and the set is fixed by searching the Uthmani script, not by selection. Every explanation here is the wording of al-Tafsīr al-Muyassar — we do not write commentary on the Qur’an ourselves.

What this page does not claim: it is not every verse one may argue from. The bee, the ant, the reviving of dead earth — these are argued from, and the word “sign” does not appear in them; including them would be our choice, and choosing what enters and what is left out is commentary, not indexing. Nor does it include the signs of revelation (“they denied Our signs”) — those are sent-down signs, not signs in creation, and the same formula separates them.
